Item Details
A semi-antique handwoven Kurdish Bijar wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of sand, cranberry, indigo, rose, mauve, sky blue, emerald, camel, and black. The sand colored field features centralized pole medallions with flowering branches, along with ashik motifs, floral, and geometric latticed patterns. Framing the field is a main scrolling floral patterned border, along with a pair of Persian Hamadan style guard borders. Finishing the rug are double overcast selvedges and an applied fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
