An oil painting on canvas of a man, titled Grant, the Matchmaker, by artist David McDaniel (1948-2013). This carefully-rendered painting depicts a young man with a corded telephone to his ear, his eyes half-closed in concentration. The figure’s garments, as well as the background of the piece, are rendered in buttery yellow, and the unframed painting is signed ‘McD’ to its upper left corner. There is painted text to the verso giving the title of the piece and the artist’s name, along with the date ‘Aug 24, 05’ and a note reading ‘Model: Grant Wheaton.’
