U.S. Historical Society Pewter Rimmed Collectors Plates
Item Details
A grouping of six U.S. Historical Society pewter rimmed collectors plates. The collection includes four plates depicting stained glass cathedral windows: The Rose of Lisbon from the Cathedral of Lisbon, Portugal; Angel of the Arts adapted from a Tiffany stained glass window at Lyndhurst mansion, Tarrytown, New York; The Magnificent Rose from the Cathedral of Reims, France; and The Good Shepherd based on the painting by Bernard Plockhurst. Also included are two eagle motif Majesty by Linda Picken plates, one has the name Karl E.. Schmidt engraved at the top, the other has the name Mrs. I.A. E.I. Paul G. Schmidt engraved at the top. Under the title both plates are engraved ‘Air Force Association’ and ‘U.S. Historical Society’. Certificates of authenticity included with some of the plates.
Condition
- most in good condition. A couple have fingerprints and residue on the metal.
