Belgian Ceramic Matching Ash Receivers and Decor Set
Item Details
A Belgian six piece ceramic matching ash receivers and decor set. Each of the pieces of this matching set feature a colorful peacock standing on pine branch against a white ground, striated blue glaze covering the rest of the piece, and gilt detailing. Items include two triangular ash receivers, two pinch-corner rectangular receivers, a serpentine rectangular lidded box, and a serpentine rectangular tray. Each of the pieces is somewhat differently marked. The bottom of the tray is marked with an in-mold raised cross logo, ‘292 Belgium’ impressed to one side, and a small brown ‘1’ hand painted below the impressed marks. The other pieces have impressed numbers, all but the triangular receivers are numbered ‘292’, the triangular receivers are marked ‘197’. Only the lidded dish appears to also be marked Belgium. Some, but not all, have differing small brown hand painted marks.
Condition
- rectangular tray and lidded box have repaired breaks.
