A crystal decanter with sterling silver lid by the Gorham Manufacturing Company. This piece boasts a sterling silver hinged knob stopper and collar accented with an elaborate floral motif. The rim bears the Gorham lion, anchor and script ‘G’ with sterling marked after. A delicate chain stretches from lid to a handle on the shoulder of the decanter. Ridged bands accent the multi-sided neck, which gently widens towards the shoulder. Ribbed and caned bands accent the bulbous body of the decanter, which rests on a round base cut with starburst motif.
