A 19th century Chinese export platter, square in form with high scalloped sides and notched corners. The poly chrome platter is hand decorated to the center and sides illustrating mythical creatures, birds and turtles in landscapes. Notable is the hoofed creature in the center surrounded by floral patterns. There are no marks to the underside.
