A pair of late-20th century posters printed after original Art Deco poster designs by Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron, more commonly known simply as Cassandre (French, 1901 – 1968). The first is a hand-pulled lithographic poster advertising travel on the New Statendam Holland-American Line. It was printed by Soho Editions After an original 1928 poster and is signed and dated in-plate to the upper right. The second is an offset lithograph of a 1935 poster advertising travel on the ‘Normandie Cie. Gle. Transatlantique French Line.’ It was printed in 1980 by Cassandre’s estate. Both are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
Condition
- smaller offset poster has vertical and horizontal creases across from previous folding.
