Denise Miniature Gouache Portrait of a Boy in Blue
Item Details
A miniature gouache portrait on oval ceramic panel by of a boy in blue, signed ‘Denise.’ This carefully-rendered work depicts the long-haired young figure in a satiny blue suit jacket, a cane-like stick tucked under one arm. The piece is signed along its lower right edge and is mounted under glass against a red velour ground and is presented in a gold tone frame with a ring for hanging to its upper edge.
Condition
- light edge wear to frame; outside perimeter of portrait shows oxidation and is somewhat tarnished; velour background shows wear; wear to verso of frame.
