Item Details
An antique Princess Mary Christmas gift box. This brass box features a portrait of Princess Mary of Great Britain with the names of Allied countries in World War I along the edges. The boxes were intended to be given to every member of the armed forces of the British Empire as a Christmas present in 1914. Silver boxes were sent to officers, brass boxes to all others. The boxes included a card from Princess Mary and other items.
