Jacqueline Saporiti Acrylic Paintings on Canvas of Flowers

A pair of acrylic paintings on canvas by Vietnamese-born artist Jacqueline Saporiti. The first piece is titled Winter Rose and depicts a single red rose with yellow leaves on a brushed ochre ground. The petals of this flower are painted using thick, square brushstrokes, and it is titled to the verso. The second piece depicts a tall, sleek, rounded vase with stems and flowers abstracted as rounded dots in shades of red, orange, and blue emerging from the top. Both pieces are initialed to the lower right corner and presented as unframed, stretched canvases with wires to the versos for hanging.

Born in Vietnam and raised in France, formally trained painter Jacqueline Saporiti moved to the United States in 1968 and has been based out of Nashville, TN since 1981. Her contemporary Expressionistic inspired work brings an East meets West appeal to her large catalog of landscapes, still lifes, and figure studies.
