A Chinese satsuma style footed platter. This piece boasts a figural court scene to the well, framed by a botanical border and gently scalloped edge. The outer body is decorated with a banded motif of floral designs on a black, green, and yellow ground. The piece is accented with copious raised dots and jeweled gilt detail. It bears a deliberately crazed finish and is marked to the base with a numeral and logo: ‘Satsuman, Made in China.’
