Mid-19th Century English Imari Porcelain Plates
Item Details
A pair of mid-19th century English porcelain dessert plates. The plates feature hand-painted Imari designs with panels depicting red leaves, green urns, and pink plant stands surrounded by gilt acanthus leaves. The panels present variable pale fields in salmon, yellow, and white with a dark blue primary background. Unmarked.
Condition
- wear to gilding; surface scratches and marks; slight stains to undersides; possibility of later improvements and embellishments to the decoration.
