Early 20th Century Heintz Sterling Overlay and Bronze Pen Tray

Item Details

An early 20th century sterling on bronze pen tray by the Otto Heintz Art Metal Shop (active from 1875 until February 11, 1930). This bronze tray has a rectangular shape with a flat bottom well and slightly raised sides. It features a sterling silver linear overlay border with scroll designs at each corner. The underside is stamped with the Heintz Art Metal Shop maker’s mark and “Sterling on Bronze Patent Aug.27.12”.

Condition

- some surface wear including scuffs, scratches, and tarnish; adhesive residue on underside.
