A pair of Japanese woodblock prints on paper Including a print after Katsushika Hokusai. Featured is woodblock print after a print by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) titled An Artisan’s Shop from The Mist of Sandara. This print depicts an elderly man and women working in a shop surrounded by paintings. In the background is a view of Mt. Fuji. A kanji inscription is present to the left side of the composition. Also included is a print depicting the silhouettes of two women walking along a lantern lit street. An inscription with a red seal is present to the upper right corner. Both works are presented behind glass in a brown mat in gold tone wood frames. Hanging hardware is present the verso of both pieces.
