A collection of six vellum leaves from a French Book of Hours, circa 1470 near Rouen, France. The Latin text is written in a regular book hand with a variety of brown, red, white, blue, and gold inks. The brown ink is likely carbon-based or an oak-gall mixture. The pages feature multiple drop caps and some floral borders. The pages are held in off-white matting windows with descriptive inserts detailing the inscriptions, wrapped in protective plastic.
