Mid 15th-Century Hand-Painted Pages from a French Book of Hours
Item Details
A set of four hand-painted vellum pages from a French Book of Hours, circa 1450 in either Paris or Rouen. The pages all feature a highly readable Latin script with a variety of drop caps, filigree, and line fillers in black, blue, red, brown, and gold. The pages are held in off-white matting windows with descriptive inserts detailing the inscriptions and wrapped in protective plastic.
