A framed complete set of John Player & Sons Cigarettes Wild Animals series cigarette cards. These fifty pieces, printed with what is believed to be offset lithograph techniques, each feature the detailed head of a different animal against a white ground, with the name of the animal along the card’s lower edge and the text ’Player’s Cigarettes’ along the top. They are all mounted together under glass against a rich greenish-blue ground in a wooden frame with a wire for hanging to its verso.

Condition

- minor discoloration to some cards; nicks and abrasions throughout frame; wear to finish of frame.

- measures frame; each card measures: 1.5" W x 2.5" H.
