An antique gelatin silver photograph on paper by Chas W. Ross titled The Mountain Lake. This photograph depicts a lake surrouned by tall hills with trees and a horse-drawn carriage traveling down the road to the right. The photograph features hand-colored detail and is titled and signed in graphite by hand along the bottom margin. The photograph is housed in a wooden frame under glass, and the verso of the frame features a hand-written note reading ‘Furst Bros & Company, cira- 1900.’

Condition

- photograph is silvering in various spots throughout the image; glass is pitted; wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame; paint separating from the frame.
