Item Details

A miniature hand-painted illumination on vellum from a medieval Book of Hours, circa 1470 Rouen, France. The miniature depicts The Annunciation in an arch framed scene surrounded by flowers. The opposite page features Latin text with several drop caps, line fillers, and a floral border in brown, gold, red, green, black, and blue inks. The page is held in off-white matting windows, wrapped in protective plastic. Included is an informational sheet inside the protective plastic.
