Vintage New Haven Clock Company Tambour Mantel Clock

Item Details

A vintage New Haven Clock Company tambour style mantel clock. The case, of wood in a dark finish, has a domed top and elongated curved sides. It rests on small feet. The white face behind a hinged glass door is surrounded by a brass bezel and features raised brass Arabic numerals and fine filigree hour and minute hands. The face has two key arbors and is marked ‘Chime-Silent/New Haven’. The brass works are accessible through a swinging door on the back and are stamped ‘New Haven’ with a list of patent dates. There is a handwritten notation on the inside of the door possibly marking a cleaning or repair in 1942. Untested.
