A Rococco style mahogany bombé chest of drawers by Mariano Garcia featuring a polished, shaped top over a bombé chest with two drawers. The drawers embellished with gilded scrolled and floral carvings and cast foliate pulls and flanked by gilded scrolled woodwork. The two sides are also embellished. The piece rises on cabriole legs terminating on scrolled feet joined by an ornate, scalloped and pierced apron featuring gilded C-scrolls and carved shells. The piece is marked on the back with ‘Mariano Garcia.’
