A hand-knotted Persian Seraband mir-a-boteh wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, ivory, terracotta, azure, sage, and camel. The lozenged terracotta field features an all-over boteh pattern with serabend patterns to the ivory spandrels and rosettes to the notches. Framing the field is a main serabend patterned border along with running water and sawtooth guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends, while showing blue weft threads to the underside. Unlabeled.
