Hand-Painted Limoges Porcelain Box
Item Details
A hand-painted Limoges porcelain box. The box features an egg shape with a black and white rabbit to the top. The rabbit sits on a green patch of grass surrounded by carrots and a turnip. The hinged lid and base of the box are trimmed in a brass border with a rabbit shaped latch. The interior of the box is white with a small carrot painted to the bottom of the interior. The piece is marked to the underside ‘Limoges, France, Peinte Main, CV’.
