A signed, hand thrown Mata Ortiz clay vessel by master Mexican potter Dora Quezada. The vessel is decorated with an overall red cross and white diamond motif. It has a sun shape to the underside and is signed “Dora Quezada”. Ms. Quezada is related to the renowned Juan Quezada, considered by many to to be the father of the Mata Ortiz pottery revival, based on ancient Casas Grandes pottery. Her work is exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide. The vessel is presented with a round stand.
