Pair of Antique George III Armchairs

Item Details

A mixed pair of antique Chippendale armchairs, both circa early 18th century.. The first is of mahogany and features a curved crest rail above a pierced, lyre back style splat, and arm rests rising on curved supports. It has a removable trapazoid shaped leather seat with rises on marlborough legs with an H stretcher. The second chair, in oak, with a ribbon crest and pierced splat has a solid seat with fitted upholstered cushion, tall apron and marlborough legs, Possibly a converted commode chair.
