C. Kreis Gouache Portrait in Antique Frame
Item Details
A gouache painting on paperboard depicting a portrait of a woman, signed to the lower right in paint by artist C. Kreis. This original painting depicts a young woman with long wavy hair. She wears large hoop earrings and a simple corseted blouse over a flowing red skirt. A delicate peacock feather is depicted to the lower quadrant. It is signed to the lower right “C. Kreis”, and housed under glass in an antique gilt frame with applied cast gesso embellishments. It is wired for wall display.
