A vintage etching of sailing ships at port. This intaglio print depicts an old wooden sailing ship in the foreground with sails removed from the masts and a crew performing maintenance on the hull. Multiple other ships fill the background of the crowded harbor. An in-plate signature in the lower left appears to read ‘A. Ballter’. The work is presented under glass with an off-white mat in a wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
