Item Details
A handwoven and embroidered Balkan carpet runner. This flatweave wool rug is rendered in a palette of midnight blue, cherry, ivory, and ochre. It features a midnight-blue field filled with mirrored, tribal nomadic motifs in different sizes. These include a central diamond medallion, stars, abstracted birds, and abstracted human forms. The field is framed by a notched, cherry-colored inner border and a midnight-blue outer guard border. Edges are hand-finished on all sides. The rug is unlabeled.
