English Silver Plate Salt Cellars with Glass Liners
Item Details
A set of two English silver plate salt cellars with glass linings. This includes a larger rectangular salt cellar with a cobalt glass insert, gadrooned rim and shell details at the corners of the rims. The piece rests on a stepped pedestal base and is marked ‘Made in England.’ This is presented with an oblong shaped salt cellar with a clear glass insert, simple rim with rounded body and a stepped pedestal base. The piece is marked on the base ‘Hutton Sheffield.’
Condition
minor marks and scratches with minimal tarnish; when cobalt dish is removed there is some pitting to the interior
