An etching with mezzotint on paper of Madonna with Child. This etching depicts the Madonna seated with Baby Jesus in her lap, halos faintly hovering above their heads. It depicts a male figure standing behind them and what appears to be a small town in the distance. The etching is marked in-plate to the lower section including a name that appears to read ‘Sim. Watts sc.t 1777’. It is presented under glass in a gold-tone frame with double mat layers and a wire hanger in verso.
