A pair of hand colored aquatint prints on paper after engravings by Henry Papprill and paintings by John Frederick Herring. Includes Thorough Breds depicting men in top hats and jockeys on horses in a stable and The Hunting Stud depicting the race horses being bathed in a stable. Both prints are labeled in-plate to the lower section and marked ‘painted by J. F. Herring’ and ‘engraved by H. Papprill’. They are presented framed behind glass with wire hangers affixed in verso.

Condition

- light wear to frame finish; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light tearing to paper backing.
