A pair of etchings on paper by well-listed printmakers Louis Orr (1879 – 1961) and Frederic Taubes (1900 – 1981). The Orr print depicts figures standing in a field beside a stream, dwarfed by towering trees against a cloudy sky. The work is signed in pencil to the lower right. The Taubes print presents a woman’s portrait rendered in textured, expressive marks against the tone of the paper. It is signed in plate to the lower left and in pencil to the lower right. Each print is presented under a mat and glass in a wood frame, wired to hang.

Condition

- discoloration to prints; significant mat burn, toning and stains to landscape; stains to left edge of portrait; light edge wear to frames.

- measures one frame; visible image measures 8.25" W x 11" H.
