A very large original oil painting on canvas of an arrangement of sticks in a vase by Jacqueline Saporiti titled Red. This contemporary still life depicts a stylized angular vase containing an arrangement of leafless sticks, as viewed from a low perspective near the floor. The composition is set at a dynamic angle, with the horizon line dipping dramatically toward the lower right. The work is initialed ‘JS’ in the lower left. It is presented ready to hang, unframed.

Born in Vietnam and raised in France, formally trained painter Jacqueline Saporiti moved to the United States in 1968 and has been based out of Nashville, TN since 1981. Her contemporary Expressionistic inspired work brings an East meets West appeal to her large catalog of landscapes, still lifes, and figure studies.
