Jacqueline Saporiti Marker on Canvas Figures

A selection of five marker drawings on primed canvases by artist Jacqueline Saporiti. These pieces feature small, simple cartoon figures with peace signs on their chests. Four of the pieces are portraits with inscriptions reading ‘let there be peace’ and ‘peace on earth’, with one piece depicting a figure with stick arms and legs dancing. Many are stamped to the verso with the artist’s information and one is signed. Two are presented in black frames with wire to the verso for hanging and three are unframed.
Born in Vietnam and raised in France, formally trained painter Jacqueline Saporiti moved to the United States in 1968 and has been based out of Nashville, TN since 1981. Her contemporary Expressionistic inspired work brings an East meets West appeal to her large catalog of landscapes, still lifes, and figure studies.

- scratches and marks to frames; light surface wear, notably around edges and corners.
