An oil painting on canvas of a still life signed by an artist with the name William Koelling. This painting depicts a central arrangement of a bulbous jug with a squat opening, a foliate vase and overturned bowl situated over a large, draped cloth featuring swirled patterning in black and blue. To the lower right corner of the composition is a painted signature, dated 1949. The painting is presented in a bronze tone wooden frame featuring a linen liner with hanging wire and a handwritten inscription attributing the artist to the verso.
