An oil portrait on canvas of a Classical female figure, signed ‘Certosino’. This work features a nearly half-body portrait of an angelic young woman wearing fluttering off-white and green drapery, gazing to the upper left. The painting is signed by an unidentified hand in black ink to the lower right, not appearing to be the artist’s signature. It is presented in an elaborate gold-tone wood frame with simple pattern design. ‘Certosino’ is handwritten to verso along with other handwritten inscriptions.

- signs of in painting scattered throughout; signature does not appear to be from artist’s hand; painting has been restored with heavy varnish; craquelure throughout composition; vertical and horizontal stretch marks; horizontal stretch marks in middle of composition; some dust and minor accretion scattered throughout painting surface; wear in frame includes scratches, small chips, finish loss, and stains scattered throughout.
