Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a German town scene by listed German artist Max Barascudts (1869-1927). This work features a horse-drawn carriage heading under an archway of a large ecclesiastical building; some autumnal trees and additional town architecture are visible throughout the scene. The work is signed ‘Max Barascudts Munchen’ to the lower right. It is presented in a distressed blue and brown wood frame.
Condition
- two small punctures present along upper edge of painting, one of which is patched to verso; rippling throughout edges of composition; wear throughout frame includes finish loss, scratches, chips, and stains throughout frame.
