Item Details

An antique Eastlake needlepoint sewing bench. The incised and carved bench features a hinged padded needlepoint seat with a bouquet of roses and other flowers on a burgundy ground. The seat opens to a storage space filled with vintage sewing supplies including black button tin with gold peacock motif. It rests on turned supports flanked by arched stretchers on trestles atop bun feet.

Condition

- base has been repaired in multiple places
- arched stretcher has holes where ornament is missing
