French Provincial Veneered Wood Desk

A vintage French Provincial style veneered wood desk. This rectangular desk comprises a veneered blonde walnut and oak paneled top with a scalloped edge over a knee-hole opening including a central pencil drawer and two machine-dovetailed drawers with brass pulls to each side. Each short end of the desk features vertical paneling with incised corner details. The front includes a recessed bookshelf with a short spindled railing. The desk stands on cabriole legs joined by a scalloped and incised apron. No maker’s marks seen.
