An original signed oil on canvas seascape by listed local artist Norman C. Hurd. The work depicts a rocky coastline with white frothy waves pounding against the large boulders. To the horizon is a deep blue sea with white gulls and a dense, cloud-filled sky. The work is rendered in an expressionistic style with impasto application of paint. The painting is displayed in a gold-washed wood frame with decorative border and is signed to the lower right corner. The piece is wired to the back for wall hanging.
