An antique embossing stamp. Offered here, this antique embossing stamp features cast iron construction in a black enamel finish highlighted by an inset and hand painted red star in the base and gold tone paint along the curvilinear edges. The embossed stamp reads, ‘The Short Hollowell Lumber Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, Incorporated Seal.’ The Short Hollowell company ceased to exist in 1911.
