A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of powder blue,orange, olive green,ivory, navy , and brown. The field is patterned with curvilinear vines, lancet leaves, and Shah Abbasi palmettes. The main border features a herati pattern and it is framed on either side with sawtooth and carnation meander guard borders. It has fringe to either end and it is marked ‘Made in Iran’.
