A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Tabriz palace size rug. The ink-black field of the rug displays an intricate latticed pattern of repeating floral and foliate throughout. A complex series of floral borders, including a wide principal cartouche border, surrounds the field. The rug is finished with cotton warp fringe at either end.
