A Louis XV style fauteuil. This chair features a curved crest rail with carved flowers over an upholstered back panel with nailhead trim. The arms have upholstered armrests with nailhead trim ending with carved, scrolled handholds. The upholstered seat features nailhead trim above a carved and serpentine apron. The chair stands on cabriole legs with carved knees and terminating on whorl feet. The chair is upholstered in a woven fabric with a needlepoint-look floral motif There are no visible maker’s marks.
