A pastel drawing on paper of a surreal composition. This drawing depicts a Naïve style rendering of a robed woman holding onto a man who emerges with flailing arms from a hole in the ground. The enclosed room features multiple holes with abstract forms pushing through, with three figures spectating from a window to the far wall. To the lower left corner of the composition is an illegible, monogrammed signature and date appearing to read 9/30/1973. The drawing is presented under glass beneath matting in a distressed wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
