Mottaheda Reproduction and Adaptation Plates
Item Details
A group of two Mottahedeh reproduction and adaptation plates. The adaptation plate is the Winterthur adaptation ‘Mandarin Bouquet’. The Fitz-Hugh border was selected by George Washington for his Mount Vernon dinner service. The motif is from a Chinese porcelain punch bowl from the 1800s. The second plate is a majolica style handled plate with a fence, floral and foliate design and branch handles. the plate is colored in hues of green, red-pink and brown. The undersides are marked accordingly to the undersides.

- crazing to the reproduction plate.
