An antique hand-knottedCaucasian tribal wool accent rug. The rug has a deep navy blue central field populated with geometric shapes and foliate forms in shades of tomato red, cream, cobalt blue, umber, and celadon green, with dark cream corner spandrels populated with flower vases, leaves and tomato red medallions on vase forms. The rug has a complex compound border with a rose red major serabend border flanked by pair of medium blue guard stripes in a meander floral border design. The rug is finished in a short cream warp fringe to both ends.
