An antique hand-knotted Sarouk wool accent rug. The rug has a tomato red background with an overall stylized floral and foliate population in shades of light blue, olive green and gold, with a central lobed gul in off white with palmette arrangement. The rug has a complex compound border with a major border in black in a palmette floral and arabesque motif, flanked by dark cream guard stripes in floral meander designs. The rug has a very short off white warp fringe to both ends.

minor overall wear, major wear to edges, loss of fringe, would benefit from a light cleaning
