Item Details

An antique hand-knotted Sarouk wool accent rug. The rug has a tomato red background populated with mirrored stylized floral vases and overall arabesque and foliate design in shades of blue gray, medium blue, off white, black and olive green. The rug has a complex compound border with a medium major border in a meander flower and foliate pattern, flanked by a pair of dark cream guard stripes in a running water border motif. The rug has off white warp fringe to both ends. The rug retains the original cloth tag to the verso.
