Item Details

An antique hand-knotted Caucasian Shirvan wool accent rug. The rug has a large octagonal central medallion in navy blue populated with geometric arrowhead patterning in shades of cream, medium blue and russet. The medallion is surrounded by a crenallated medallion with arrowhead ends with floral guls. The rug has deep navy blue corner spandrels, also with floral guls, and a complex compound border with a major double running dog border in medium blue, celadon green and russet and guard stripes in blue and russet. The rug is finished with short off white warp fringe to both ends.
